Hi,
in the new version 4.0.0 and r2 I still have the same problem regarding WiFi as in version 3.7.4 that I reported here: https://www.spirit-system.com/phpBB3/vi ... =20&t=6431
I have tested on an intelbased Mac with the latest version, now on version 15.5.
I can't establish a connection either via 192.168.4.1 nor via my home network, although both IP addresses can be pinged.
And again in a virtualized Windows 11 on the same Mac WiFi with version 4.0.0r2 works without any problems.
I don't know if there could be a relationship to https://www.spirit-system.com/phpBB3/vi ... =24&t=6263
There I reported that the Wifi speed is significantly faster even within a virtualized Windows system than directly on the Mac.
To me it looks either like a WiFi bug in the Mac version of settings starting in version 3.7.4 or maybe a fundamental problem in the macos version, as the firmware updates for Spirit GT via Wifi has been running in timeouts at least for many versions.
Regards,
Alexander
WiFi in Version 4.0.0 on macos not working
Hello,
thank you for your report!
The bug was really there and we are very sorry for this.
It was fixed in 4.0.0r3 software.
Also there are other improvements - for example tips for Rotation speed.

Hi,
Thank you for your efforts, but I'm sorry to tell you that it still doesn't work for me, neither on my Intel-based Mac nor on my M-CPU-based Mac. No Spirit device is found, neither via 192.168.4.1 nor via the IP of my home network. However, both IP addresses can be pinged.
Regards,
Alexander

A short update:
I just had the chance to test it on an older MacBook with OS 12.7.4 and it is working there.
What I also noticed, in the security settings under local network there is just shown Spirit-Settings 3.7. but not the new Version 4.0. Does that mean the new version does not request the local network? Or is there probably an impact with some security changes in newer OS?!?

After I uninstalled all older versions of the settings App on my Mac (15.5), now Spirit-Settings 4.0 is shown in the security settings under local network and of course it is set to allow.
Unfortunately, the software still cannot find a unit, even though a ping is successful.

This is very interesting. Do you have more networks connected? For example LAN + WiFi? I would try only wifilink connection.
