Hi,

Can both, the WiFi Link and the USB Link, be connected in the SYS port using a Y extension and work with any of them?

Thanks,
David

To expand, I mean having both connected to the SYS port using a Y extension.
This way I don’t have to disconnect and connect the cables every time I want to switch between them.

Hello,

I installed a short Y extension to connect the WiFi Link permanently to the Spirit Unit SYS Port and still have a connector to connect the USB Link without having to disconnect anything.

For this to work properly, a switch needs to be installed in the power connector of the WiFi Link to turn it off prior connecting the USB Link (I used a Rx type power switch). Please note in case you connect the USB Link with the WiFi Link still on, no damage will occur to the WiFi Link or USB Link (I tested this).

Moreover, installing a switch in the WiFi Link power leads is convenient. When the WiFi Link AutoTurn-Off is enabled (and it should be enabled) which turn off the WiFi Link transmission if no device connects to it before Set Time elapses, which its purpose is to keep the WiFi Link from transmitting during flight, the switch will let you power cycle the WiFi Link to have it transmitting back without having to power cycle the model.

Pictures attached for your reference.
