Position Hold moves left only

My altitude hold seems to be working but my Position Hold moves left very quickly. I have calibrated the compass, and the map location is correct.

How can I make it hold a position?

The Horizontal hold gain in the Geolink settings was set at the max of 150%. That must have been the default because I had not changed that. So I reduced it to 140% to see if that had something to do with the model moving to the left, but now, the model flies backwards fairly quickly as soon as I engage the function switch.

Any idea what is causing this?

I have a horizontal gain of 80 and a vertical gain of 60 on all of my 4 helis. This is not perfect, but the flight behavior is predictable. The default setting seems to be 100%, which is definitely too much.

Thanks for the input. I actually tried 80% and still get the same behavior - wants to go left abruptly.

The altitude hold works fine. My Stabi is set to Coaxial. All of my mechanics and linkages are correct and inspected multiple times. My compass is calibrated (though I do need a 17 degree correction for 90 degrees North). The geolink is mounted securely in the correct orientation. I have reviewed all of the possible troubleshooting for the geolink I can find.

I really hope someone from Spirit can help me figure this out. Will posting a flight log help?

It would be better if the Spirit Team could provide an answer. If they don't have time, I can try to help you. The only thing I can think of is that the installation direction of the GeoLink does not match the setting. If you've already checked everything and then get silly tips, it's not helpful. But sometimes you overlook something that's obvious. :D

Yes, the orientation is configured correctly. This is my test platform before I install the mechanics in a scale fuselage. The Geolink is far from any magnets or motors. I have also tried it mounted in the middle, with a shorter cable, next to the Spirit GT, but get the same results. This is frustrating. Maybe the Geolink is faulty?

Hello,

it seems the problem could be not related to GeoLink itself, but to measurement of the horizont.
If this is not precise, then all GeoLink functions, including stabilisation and Rescue will work incorrectly.

There are several reasons why it could be measured wrong. But almost all are described in our manual and are listed as things to check. You said it was all correct. I guess something was overlooked.
This is the most important page:
https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... ise_Rescue

Please read it carefully and ideally do the Vibration Analysis with tail blades on. Not just checking Vibration Level.
First from all, can you please share your settings file? I will check the settings.
