Hello everyone! I love this system and the personalized service many seem to get from the developers.
I downloaded the Fly App and upon launching it the radio screen turns black and reboots with the normal stylized “S” and back to the Home Screen.
Is there anyway I can fix this? The radio is two months old and works fine in every other way.
I can attach a small video of the problem if needed.
Sincerely thanks,
-Chris
[SOLVED] Spirit Air - crashing & reboot…
Hello,
the problem could be caused by not fully installed Spirit Air app.
Please uninstall it first by long press at the Apps - Spirit Air app.
Then install it again from the App Store.
If the problem will persist, please let me know. The problem is not related to Wave radio itself, Spirit Air is completely separated software.
Have you made a change in the switch layout? This could cause the issue possibly too. If so please let me know what was changed from default. We have to add support for this.

Hello, thanks for the quick response. My switch configuration is all set at default values. I did have an intermittent internet connection upon the first download of the Fly App. The guys at heli direct said I could try and re flash with an old firmware and then back to the new one. I did that and it still didn’t work. The only thing I haven’t tried is a full factory reset. If there are any logs or files you need, I would be happy to upload those as well.
Thanks again,
Chris

We received the same question from HeliDirect and replied. I guess they have not posted what we sent them.
You need only the latest radio firmware 1.0.28 to make it work.
Please try to uninstall the Spirit Air app - by long press in the Apps - second page - and then touching UNINSTALL. The app icon must disappear from the list.
Then install it again from the App Store. This should make it work if there is anything wrong.
No need to do a factory reset or any other changes in the radio.

Thank you, yes sir I have uninstalled the App after the long press on the second page. Uninstalled the App, then downloaded and installed the App again. It still crashes. I attached a quick movie of what exactly takes place in the previous response.
Thank you. Next update will contain logging that will tell us where the problem is exactly. I think we could have it done tomorrow. For today I can only recommend to check if Screen Mirroring is disabled in the Settings menu of the Air app.

Awesome no problem. The screen mirroring is disabled. I tried enabling and disabling in setting of Fly App, and it crashes the same way each time. I am glad that it will get addressed. I’ll keep an eye out for an update and let you guys know what happens. Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Chris

New Spirit Air 1.0.2 was released today. It adds support for crash handling where log is created and can be downloaded. Whenever crash is detected it will tell the user to about the crash and to press FLY button again. This wil save the log and can be downloaded through Spirit Remote - after launching it, you will only need to know IP address it will show you. We will guide you with precise steps.
As a side note, when installing Spirit Air from the App Store, we recommend to wait at least 3 seconds once Downloading dialog will disappear.
