Radiomaster TX15 on ELRS with RP3-H and Spirit2

Apologies as I'm completely new to the TX and RX, I usually use Spektrum.
I have a TX15 on ELRS V4.0.0.
My RP3-H is on V4.0.0 if I'm reading them correctly.
Spirit 2 is on 4.0.3 as is the Spirit software.
With the RX connected, I can the go on the TX, press SYS, press the ELRS tab, scroll to other devices and see the Spirit2 config.
As I have channel mapping issues before and after following the Spirit instructions, I want to go into the Spirit software to look the diagnostic tab, but If I connect the RP3-H green to the top Rud connection and white to the top ail connection, no matter what I do, I can't get the TX to work on these pins. Tried a Y cable on the sys port too!
Any ideas?
