OMP M4 65A ESC Telemetry works but not data for current (A) and capacity (mAh)

My setup is:
- OMP M4 65 A ESC with newest firmware (B3.4)
- Spirit telemetry cable for OMP
- Spirit 3 fbl with firmware 4.0.3
- Spektrum 4651t with newest firmware
- Spektrum NX10+ with newest firmware
I wired according to the spirit manual for using the OMP ESC telemetry and the spirit manual for Spektrum SRXL integration.
Almost everything went as as expected and works as documented. But I do not get any data for current (A) nor capacity (mAh).
I get RPM, vibration level and ESC voltage (although little higher as measured otherwise).
But the value for A and mAH always shows "0".
I reread the manual and rechecked everything. It stays at "0" even under load.
I tried auto-config in Spektrum TX and the manual sensor configuration in Spektrum TX telemetry menu without success.
I do not know what to check more.
