Updated all three spirits today and put Governor on my mini titan 360. It has a yep ESC, re done the end points, turned yep Govenor off.

I don't know my motor poles so i kept changing it until the requested speed matched the actual speed.

Something strange about the head speed, when i put the gear ratio in of 11.7 (130 t main gear and 13 t pinion. the stated head speed was nothing like the tachometer showed. I kept reducing the ratio until it matched which was 6.8

It works fine and requested/stated/tached head speeds match right through the range.

Not flown it yet, only bench tested

Make sure that Gear Ratio is configured correctly. Some helicopters have few versions with different main gears/pinions so then it can be swapped easily.
Also some tachometers are unable to measure correctly RPM without blades/on the ground.
Ratio of 6.8 is quite strange for this helicopter.

MiniTitan has 150t main gear (150/13 = 11.5)

Thomas

flew the titan at the club yesterday and had it tached with a digital metre and a manual one. the head tachs at Normal 2700 IU1 2900 IU2 3200.

I have my Max head speed in the governor as 3200. I wanted 2400 2600 2800 so i put my throttle curves at 75 81 87. With the motor disengaged i tested it and that's what i got from requested and actual motor speed.
I have tried different pole counts as i cant find my motor specs (OBL29/27-10H) but settled on 4 as this is the only setting that will cause the requested and actual speed to be linear right through the throttle range.

Fly's nice anyway even in high winds :-)
Tempted to leave it and just fly it.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
