I am interest in purchase the Spirit flybarless system, and hope to find out if the Spirit system works with JR XBus receiver?

You have to just configure XBus mode B.

Just two more questions, I have read the post on helifreak: http://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=646564 It seems that XBus may cause some issues. Does these issue with XBus still exists?

Also, do I need an extra cable/adapter for XBus (like the one required for Futaba SBus) ?

There is no known issue. The problem on the forum you have linked was related to understanding how the system works.
