Measured resistance, I get a 0 reading, no resistance, theres no short. The power to ground gives 38.53kohm

Your measurement is looking good, but there is no real explanation why it does not work. Especially if your units are working correctly with a USB interface.
Please ship the modules so we can examine it.

You said there should also be resistance between orange and red, but theres 0

Yes, but very high resistance, which is correct. Mostly all multimeters will show you infinite resistance.

Hi Tomas and Velocity, What was the resolution of this Bluetooth issue?
I am having exact same scenario, I used BT just fine on 1st Spirit Pro, but now bought another 2nd Spirit Pro and have exact same scenario as Velocity encounters identical to the pictures. I know for sure connections are perfect polarity wise, no wrong plug ins at all. They only thing that might be different in my case is I was using a Receiver battery pack of 4.8V to power the BT module, rather than using power from onboard BEC ESC, etc. Any help greatly appreciated! I LOVE SPIRIT PRO and all it's features and would love to use the BT module at the field for tuning. In addition, I should mention I am using an Android Phone with Spirit Settings App V2.3 I believe, and it worked on 1st Spirit Pro FBL unit. I tried unpairing that device and then pairing with the 2nd Spirit Pro it paired ok, but gave exact symptoms as Velocity had. Really curious to figure this out. Thanks in advice or help. Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave!
You have to use same power source for both unit and BT module. If not, you have to at least connect grounds together.
Then it will work well.
