My main gear is 150 teeth, motor has 9 so my ratio is 16.66

But i dont seem to be able to select above 12 ???

Is there a simple workaround or am I missing something

What helicopter do you have?
Do you know motor pole count?

Yes, there is a workaround so it will work well.

Increase Sensing Divider so that value of Gear Ratio * Sensing Divider is same or near.
This mean, if you have 10 poles (5 for sensing divider) than result will be: 16.66 * 5 = 83,3.
7 for sensing divider and 11.9 as gear ratio will give you the same result.

If you can give motor pole I can tell you exact values.

Tomáš, why do we have those limits? Are they really needed? all these "workarounds" are confusing (the other one is about RPMs)...

Coco66: The limits are very same as what you can find for example in the VBar. Normally such gear ratios are abnormal. At the time it was designed there were basically no cases like this.
New update will have wider range.

tiriips: Set Sensing divider to 6 and Gear Ratio to 8.30. Then it will be fine.

Thanks Z, I feel like I should have known.
