GeoLink boom mount - not magnetic, conductive, what to do

Dear MikeJ,

Sorry for my late replies. Yes, I improved my design and already fixed the Geolink in the heli. My test model is Trex 450L My final design is as below:

Top part where the Geolink module will be mounted using provided 3M tape

Bottom part which will be mounted on the tail boom using 2 or 3 wire ties.

In addition to the above 2 parts, I used M2.5 nylon bolt and nuts with nylon flat washers to keep the 2 parts together.

Total assembly is about 14.0g as per my scale (excluding Geolink weight). I had to add extra weights to the front of the heli to maintain CG. Since my 450L is for experimental use, I didn't mind the extra weight. However this might be a problem for some of you guys whom are more concern with the performance of the machine.

If anyone would like to tray the design, I can share the 3D file (STL version). Please PM me. I have just completed a much secure version for Trex 700E tail boom and similar mount for Gyro mounting.

Here is my plastic boom mount. It's cnc'd out of perspex. I've left the curve for the boom mount area deliberately rough to help the tape stick.
