Rate Mode for setting up Rudder mecanically...

Hello,
please can anybody help me if I understood that right ? I want to set up my rudder mecanically right. Therefore I had to switch to Rate Mode in the Gyro an look if the tail will rotate or not in this Mode. I have to cange the linkage so that the tail will not rotate -
Is the only way in spirit software to deacitvate the stabi that I can get into the Rate Mode without any influence of stabilisation or rescue ? So do I understand the description in the manual. Is my understanding right ? I am a bit unsecure that's why I will ask you for my security. I don't want an unwanted reaction of my heli...

The question is solved !
You can find the hint in the manual by clicking on Disabled - By looking a second time to the maual I clicked on it and the fully explanation was popping up - If anybody has the same question as me see the attachment -
