Telemetry values from Kosmik 160HV goes crazy.

The original Telemetry cable is very thin, not really a good quality in my opinion, but of course I extended with a twisted cable. If you could tell me where I can get these plugs for the Kosmik and the spirit I will make a new one without the Extention.

Meanwhile, I made a new extension, now it is 49,5cm long, still below the 50cm, to make it 5 times around a ferrit ring (I don,t have a magnetic ring) , but it is still the same behaviour.

Meanwhile I‘m really frustrated about the spirit, I‘m using Kontronik, Castle and Hobbywing ESC’s im combination with the telme or with the S32 and a vstabi neo in my other helicopters but I never ever had such problems with the telemetry

The length of my telemetry line is about 70cm. I use the winding cross wire, and the magnetic ring is wound for 5 turns (the iron ring has no electrical performance). The telemetry signal shows that it is normal. Jeti 16-II K200 PYRO800 GTR

Maintain confidence and gradually try and change. This is also a kind of fun in the process.

You can temporarily remove the magnetic ring attached to K's electronic governor and use it on the telemetry line. To verify whether the magnetic ring is effective. (magnetic ring must be used)

I am afraid but you will also need crimping tool for the connectors. This is very expensive.
If needed we can send 50cm long cable, it is enough to write message in the order.
Unfortunately without trying what could be wrong it is hard to find reason.
Of course it is not normal and should not happen.
Maybe you can try to place your Spirit unit unit at place instead of VBar. Spirit unit do not require any TelMe unit, but if you will use it, it must work in the same way as with VBar.
If you are using Kontronik TelMe module, then it has nothing to do with FBL unit.
But I am afraid it is very likely not problem caused by Spirit unit so it is sad you are frustrated.
Alternatively if you can try TelMe module from other model, you can connect it to Spirit and check how it will work.

the spirit is at that position where the neo has been before.

It is already one of the Kosmik Rings, but it isn‘t magnetic.

I could try a longer cable, but I fear this will not change anything.

I recommend to wire it far away from servo and motor.
Near the battery tray preferably.

Have you also tried to downgrade to older firmware for the ESC?

Hello,

a few posts before you asked me the opposite, if I have the newest version at the ESC. But indeed my first connection with the spirit was with an older firmware, but I coudn't get a connection.

It's not possible to wire the cable more far away from the Motor. The cable is already 49,5cm long, and as you can see I would have to extend the cable to more than 50cm, but you said 50chave m is the maximum lenght! Or I have to remove the ring, but I tryed it already without the ring as it has been 37cm long, wired underneath the gear.

Unfortunately I have no idea of high frequency electronics or own a osciloscope or something, to find out what is the reason for that. What we are doing is try and error and it doesn't seem to me that we find a solution in this way. But maybe you have, and I could send you the Kosmik, the spirit and the motor to find out what happens?

If it will be possible, then tomorrow we will work on new solution in our firmware.
This will filter out bad data. So then you will not see anything wrong.
Technically it is not correct solution, but it will at least look to work correctly.
You will be able to try it within 2 days I believe.

Sending your ESC/motor is very good solution and would be perfect. But you can wait for this new firmware if you wish.

I haven't tested it, but basically I could do a software solution on the jeti transmitter too.

For example I just have to set a telemetry switch, which activate the alarm for the BEC-current, if it is below 30 Ampere.

But you are right, it is just a workaround, and maybe there could be an overlap of the values. But probably your software solution will have more intelligence, like detecting short peaks during low values, but will pass constantly high values?

This must be caused by electromagnetic interference. You can try again to move the magnetic ring near the gyro input. This is an attempt. You can also try to remove the gyro from the model, connect the system on the desktop, and test the telemetry data separately Is it normal So as to find out the source of the problem.
