Tomorow we will receive Tandem X18 for testing. I believe all will be sorted soon on EthOS.

Any updates on how the Tandem X18 testing is going?

As for me, I just got a used Oxi heli with a Spirit 1 in it. I plan on testing it with an Archer RS as soon as I get it. Once I have some information, I'll add it to the original/top post.

Yes, we have X18 here and it behaves differently than X20.
Next week there will be updated Lua scripts.

Thank you for your patience!

Hi I have a Tandem X20 using an external modal for Spektrum satellites on the red and black Spirit units. I have installed the Ethous program to the Spirit using the radio but can't get it to work. What am I missing?
Thanks.

It will not work with Spektrum satellites.
Spektrum satellites have no telemetry support. It will work only with FrSky receivers.
If you have new SRXL2 receivers such then integration can work with Spektrum telemetry. But I guess this is not supported by EthOS.

Got it. I need telemetry for it to work. I will look at buying a SRXL2 and try again.
Thanks

I recommend to buy FrSky receiver with F.Port.
There is very high chance it will not work with SRXL2 too. This is Spektrum protocol and I doubt EthOS will support it anytime soon properly.
For Spektrum radio buy SRXL2 receiver.

Does a FR-Sky receiver has to be wired in tandem wit the Spirit, servos to RX and then wires to the Spirit. I prefer les wiring, servos to the Spirit unit and use satellites. I will try one of these

Is this the RX? Will the red Spirit unit work with S-Buss?

You mentioned the Red and Black Spirit units. Are these the first generation ones (Spirit 1)?

If so, you will need to get both a S-Bus converter cable and an integration cable. If you don't want to go through that, then get yourself a FrSky receivers that has the ability output uninverted signals. The R-XSR is one such receiver. Check out this link to see how to get the uninverted signals.

https://oscarliang.com/uninverted-sbus- ... receivers/

Note: The reason for all this is because FrSky outputs Inverted S-BUS and S.Port signals. The Spirit GT supports inverted signals so it wouldn't need any of this, but you said you had the Red and Black Spirits, so I assume it's the older stuff.

Once you have one of these receivers wired to the uninverted pads, your connection to the Spirit is greatly simplified, and you would have telemetry. If you also want to have ESC telemetry (Voltage, Amps, RPM, etc), then you will also need an ESC capable of telemetry. See link below for a ESC telemetry guide and which ESCs are supported
