@Rdlx3m
I'm lost here ;) i did noticed when I experiment with stabi acro that flips, rolls and Tic-tocs comes out very precise as heli was on rails. Did not noticed much of respond delay, maybe stick priority has something to do with it. Anyways 3 banks all of them set to channel and 3 channels A- rescue acro (spring loaded switch) , B- rescue auto (ON/OFF), and C- Stabi acro (ON/OFF). And yet must try to set one more channel to get real time log for vibration axes.
Edit:
Stabi function - what is it for???

Manual says:
Separate channel
Function in the Stabi/Function parameter will be activated by a dedicated channel selected in the
General/Channels.
Channel configuration
1. Open the General/Channels.
2. In the right part of the Channels window, select F: Stabi Function.
3. Then select a channel that you can use for the activation.
4. Assign a switch in your transmitter that will control the channel (assigned channel should react now).
Function indicator
0 - function is inactive.
1 - function is active.

Not sure I have set dedicated channel for point 2. per manual must check.

Bro im
With you. This is confusing as hell! For me a NORMAL way to do it would be to activate each function you want to their on switch.. BUT.. manual wants you to dedicate one switch to stabi function.. then you need to go to stabi function bar and activate the function you want.. wich in my eyes is just retarded.

So i did as you. I only have one switch for stabi scale, and that button is active at 65% or 0, then its off, and that is what i use for my acro flying. No delays, no stability.. just raw function. Just like my drones.

Other switch i have is for return to home.. but again. Nobody here can tell me
If RESCUE and return to home is the same thing. As there are tonns of options ans asjustments for rescue. But none for the return to home function..

I believe these non-Aero Spirit flight controllers are primarily intended for collective pitch RC helicopters, and can be tuned on one extreme for precision flying like scale and F3C as well as agile flight style like aggressive 3D acrobatics on the other extreme, and any flight style in between. It is my understanding that the Spirit "stabilization modes" are intended to serve as temporary "training wheels" aiding RC helicopter pilots transition from beginner to more advanced flying skills without crashing as much. I don't believe the Spirit "stabilization modes" are designed or meant for hands-off-transmitter type of flying. Nothing wrong with flying multi-rotors or "drones", but this is a different branch of the RC hobby than what Spirit flight controllers intend.

Hi all,

The original question was for the NEW way to set up the stabi mode.
So there is a bit of confusion between the previous way of setup the stabilization and the new one, so thank Tomas to help me clear this out.

Stabilization will help based on the skills and what you really what to archive (scale fly, 3D, beginners, panic...)
keep in mind it is not hands-off-transmitter sticks and flies like a drone in one spot. That will be more of Geolink's work. so let's try to separate the two.
stabi will help with training based on your skills (normal, acro, scale...) or if you get disoriented.
rescue will help save the model in case of an imminent crash...

Old mode:
F: Stabi Function was for older activation methods.
Function in the Stabi/Function parameter will be activated by a dedicated channel selected in the
General/Channels.

you will need a channel to turn ON/OFF stabi (Was a waste of a channel for receivers with less than 8 ch.) so that`s why the use of channel 5 for more channels available.
then on another channel, for stabi normal, acro, scale, and coaxial. then another channel for RESCUE with the help of a bank switching
I used to use bank switch for rescue, so bank 1 and 2 was rescue in the stabi tab. and bank 0 for stabi

old way: So let's say:
• channel 7 for activating bank 1 or 2 so then rescue
• Channel 8 for activating the Stabi function or channel 5 gyro
in this case the old way you can use channel 5 which normally is for GYRO, and use this for stabi on/off. and set up the gyro on the software and not the transmitter.

• channel 9 for activating Stabi Normal
• channel 10 for activating Stabi Acro
• channel 11 for activating Stabi Scale

NEW mode: NO need to use a channel for ON/OFF stabi.
F: stabi function not used at all
Separate channels: every mode is selected by the channel
The function must be set to Selected by Channel if functions are selected directly to channels
It is described here https://manual.spirit-system.com/index. ... Stabi_mode

let's say:
• channel 7 for activating rescue
• channel 8 for activating Stabi Normal
• channel 9 for activating Stabi Acro
• channel 10 for activating Scale

You can see which function is active in the Channels window

Based on the number of channels you will have to use the old way or the much simpler new way of setup!
alternatively for RAW fly, no stabi, but you can still have rescue, just in case.

@Rdlx3m
"RESCUE and return to home are the same thing" Response: No they are two different functions, rescue will help you save the model, and return home is on the geolink, which will behave like a drone to get back to the starting point.
maybe we can open a new post for the combination of stabi, plus geolink functions, as is still not clear to me too.
but in this case, there will be a need for more channels

hope this help ;)

Thanks for clearing that out. It was the same i was thinking about it. Im
Just still curious how to properly setup the return to home to hover softly

From the video you put on another post, I think you are using the same channel/switch for rescue and return home, so the hely is on rescue mode+return home, but since rescue is active will never land... Check the trasmiter on the function part to check if they share the same switch or there are a mix somewhere...

Thank you for your time and effort . It is all clear now for sure.

@Rdlx3m
I thin this maybe answer to your earlier question regarding which mode I'm on. If you use let say all 3 stabiazation modes on separate channels (switches) you may simply assign logical switches with override function. Therefor, let say you are in stabi acro ( switch "ON") and you hit stabi scale ( switch "ON" with override function to stabi acro) so it brings stabi scale. Ones you dismiss stabi scale (switch "OFF" ) it goes back to stabi acro automatically.
