Hi there,
I am new with the Spirit FBL and have a short question. I need to have one of the banks without any stabilisation on the main rotor (so as if there is no FBL system), can this simply be achieved by setting the gain for the sensor to zero? The other banks shall be set normal.
Thank you in advance and best regards
Chris
One bank without any stabilisation
Hello,
I don't believe that you can change it by bank - this setting can be done only globaly under advanced/expert settings...look at this: I think the headgain is also part of this setting too and can not be turned off -
Maybe some other user or the developer can say more about this -

Hi,
Thank you so far. I think I need to be a bit more precise. The purpose for this need are two scenarios:
1. Testing
2. Toe-in or one skid-in hovering i.e. hovering with only a part of the skids contacting the ground/slope. I was doing this in the past with my old flybared helis as well with my 3-bladed rigid head helicopter which had no fbl system at all. I am new to fbl systems in general and was told that these techniques are not possible with a fbl system…
May be this is wrong and there are other things to be adjusted in the sttings?

Hi again,
I watched the video again and there is one thing that is different from what I have in mind. It is that the helicopter in the video is resting in an angled attitude to the horizontal ground. I would like to rest the helicopter level with one skid on the angled ground. Without an fbl system I have to kind of force the helicopter into the ground by giving cyclic input while releasing collective. As far as I understand this would not work with the fbl system since cyclic input will introduce a rollrate. Can I just level the helicopter and when the skid touches the slope I further release the collective and the fbl will hold the heli in position or will it slip down the slope then?
Sorry for asking maybe stupid questions but as I said it will be the first model with an fbl system for me.
Regards
Chris

Wouldn't it be easier if you just tried it on yourself? I don't think anyone will do that for you, especially since a certain amount of damage can also occur - sometimes we discuss back and forth for a long time and could just try it out for ourselves... No offense meant...
Hi Mattes61,
Not offended no worries. You are absolutely right in that point and I will try it as soon as everything is set up properly.
But my initial question still remains, will it be possible to set up only one bank with no head stabilisation?

Hello,
If you go in Spirit Settings your headgain can be max. reduced to 20 % - but I think 20% of headgain is always "nothing" - you can make one bank with this value and then test or only flying around to test how it feels...
