I prefer Flight Modes over Banks. I have 5 Flight Modes (Idle-Up 1-3, Off and Hold) with different throttle and gain settings. Now I would like to assign additional Parameters to the Flight Modes, for instance Swashplate Stop Smoothing.
To set a Parameter, I go to the respective Flight Mode and adjust the Parameter.
However, when I switch to Flight Modes Idle-Up 1 to 3, the throttle is activated and the motor starts to spool up. How can I temporarily disable the motor while setting/changing these additional parameters?
I could disconnect the motor, but that is not very practical when I’m out in the field. Another method might be to set Throttle Out to 0, but this is not practical either.

Surely, that is why you have a throttle-cut switch? Or am I misunderstanding something about your set-up.
Maybe my setup isn’t optimal. I have a flight mode called “Hold” (“Throttle Cut”) that overrides all other flight modes. Because of this, when Hold is activated, I can’t switch to the Idle-Up 1–3 flight modes, which would be necessary to adjust a tuning parameter for those modes—for example, SwashplateStopSmoothing. So far, I’ve been landing and changing the parameter while on the ground.
I just figured out that I can assign parameters to a switch via the Function menu—that’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Unfortunately, I can’t get it to work.
I went to the Function menu and set the input to the LR switch. By swiping left, I assigned a parameter—for instance, the elevator filter. After repowering the system, I monitored the parameter in the Advanced menu, but when I flip the LR switch, the parameter value doesn’t change.
Could it be that I didn’t adjust the range properly?

Maybe my setup isn’t optimal. Definitely!
I had an additional flight mode called Hold with zero throttle output. Because of that, I couldn’t switch to the flight modes where I wanted to adjust the various parameters.
I’m still learning…
