Just a thought but why not 2 buttons in the connection menu :

-save changes and disconnect

-disgard changes and disconnect

Menu button does nothing on my galaxy tab 2 but it does work fine on my nexus 5x

Well, lets hope auto saving after changing one setting is there in the future, also in the pc software. Pretty annoying to have to manually save things. Im kinda used to raising a gain disconnect and go fly. The number of times ive forgotten to save, arggg

Pretty sure the App warns you (and also the PC software IIRC)... so it should become very quickly something you don't forget anymore!
Or are you the kind of person who does not learn from his mistakes? )))))))))))

No Warning in the app nor in the pc software. Its annoying and unnessesary.

We do not plan to change this behavior. Automatic saving means significantly shortened durability of the processor memory.
These memories are limited in number of rewrite cycles. If exceeded you can throw it. If you are configuring very often than with autosaving the unit can work not more than one year.
We wish that our units can work for tens of years.

Whats more it is also good safety protection. When you are just trying a new configuration and you dont remember the old one, you can just plug the battery off and it will return back.

By the way you can press anytime CTRL+S. It is very quick.

You can save either by Menu button or by pressing 3 dots icon to show the menu.
We are trying to find good solution for this problem.

Both dont work on marshmallow Android
