I am also experiencing lots of RPM noise, even with the RPM filter turned all the way up to 8. This is on a Goblin 380 with the RPM wire from a HW 60A V4 ESC. I am using the HW 60A V4 internal BEC to power the electronics. I ordered some ferrite rings, but have not received the yet.

I have this issue with HW 60A V4 ESC too (on Chase 360). I've installed ferrite rings - one on BEC wire and one on RPM wire - but have still "RPM sensor too noisy" warning in flight log...

I also have RPM noise on my Gaui X3 with HW 50A V3.
I've installed ferrite magnet and turned RPM filter to 8 with no luck.

Have you tried it with an external bec?

No I didn't, I don't have one.

Is it a belt drive? I'm running the same ESC on my 450L and get no warnings. No ferrite ring and with spectrum sats on the spirit unit

It is TT with 2 dsmx sats.

Try to place receiver antennas as far as possible from rest of the electronics.

Even ESC settings (PWM frequency) can make a difference.

If the noise is not extremely high, it might still work correctly. You can check RPM readout in the software (when you start the motor).
What RPM variation can you see there?

My 380s esc is in the normal spot w the spirit on the gyro tray. One sat on the boom right behind the transmission block and the other is on the left side frame by the rear skids. Ive tried the esc at 200hz and 120hz but neither are working. I see it jumping all over the place. Say I set it for 3000, itll go from 2900s to mid to high 3000s and back and forth never really holding steady. And when I spool it up I can hear the headspeed rise, level off and then about 3 seconds later itll rise more and level off. Ive tried all that I can think of and nothing works. Its weird too because Im using the same esc on both my goblins but my g500 sport doesnt have the noisey signal issue or the rise in rpm after it levels off from spool up like my 380 does and the 500 has its filter set to 1.

Have you tried swapping them around?
