Yes i am sure, that is disabled in the spirit
but the soft start in my esc does not work in any way, both with governor enabled and disabled, in esc and with governor enabled or disabled in spirit. always starts in the same way the motor, slowly then suddenly accelerates
the governor has only one flag to enable it from the Governor / throttle setting tab?see attachment and see again if u can my setting of th esc
Tail kick at Take off(Solved)
Option1 Fixed Wing
Option2 Helicopter External Governor
Option3 Helicopter (Elf Governor)
Option4 Helicopter(Store Governor)
I tried the first 3 options remaining the governor in the spiritalways disabled , and only the first fixed wing the motor starts immediately, the other 2 option , the slow start , but fot little seconds...then after 3 sec it accelerates a lot like in the video I showed you but I set a spool up value of 20 sec in the esc settings.
I then tried to exclude the esc governor, using option 2 in the esc which means using external governor, and I only enabled governor of the spirit one with spool up very slow, and 30 us, but it's the same thing always starts as in the video i have show you...
the situation improves only if I start with a normal curve in radio that starts from 00% throttle, I use a flat curve that starts from 70% 70 70 70 70
they told me that the softstart must work even if I start with a 70% flat curve!!!!I don't know what to think. I'm confused
I also tried to recalibrate the Throttle/ esc, from my radio , but it's the same thing. I was careful that my throttle could reach 0% and 100% before the calibration

So maybe I badly mean softstart ? So what does 20 sec mean as a value in my set app of esc?"start up time"see attachmentZeXx86 wrote:Soft start is affecting only few first seconds of the spoolup. At the video softstart is working very well so there is nothing you can improve with Soft start.
You have to set slower Spoolup rate. Then it should be good.
I think I have solved it!
I had to use the fixed wing mode in the esc, and use the spirit governor which works very well.
I have only one problem
the rpms are right only in the tab of the spirit, but on the telemetry they are minor I find 2,000 rpm less on the telemetry.
The sensing divider and gear ratio they are well set 12.70 and 3. (140 my main gear/11t my pinion and my Motor it 6 pole/2=3)
I have only one doubt, maybe because I don't have the pinion motor attached to the main gear , I'm doing tests at the bench....???

why wrong ?Pino74 wrote:the problem is that the Esc HW 60 amp manual is wrong, there are conflicting entries. look at the attachments.
is clearly written that startup-time is only valid in ELF or Store Governor mode
you was using Heli Linear Throttle
Thank you for the message! I am glad it is working well now.

Hi Pino,Pino74 wrote:Hi I solved by enabling in my esc Hw,the fixed wing mode, and then the governor in spirit.
The current V4 versions of Hobbywing ESC's have to be at "External Governor"
The older V3 versions work only with the Spirit governor, if they are at "Fixed Wing"
Enjoy your OXY3!
