Hi Matthias,

Connecting a servo directly to a rx port ch6 does not exhibit the issue.

ZeXx86,

Please see the attached of the ch6

While the travel is smooth on the TX side the receiving end shows the non linear signal represented in the logs

Can you let me know if what I see here in the logs is the before the spirit processes it? so basically raw data directly from the fbus frames.

Thanks

Thank you for the plot.

Log shows processed data of the receiver. So what you can see at the log is passed also to the servos.
I also think it is problem with data processing at some point. Probably because of some magic byte, CRC issue or timing. We will try to reproduce it as well. Then fix should be easy if the problem is at the Spirit side.

Hello Seneka,
if we had now an plot from the output from channel 6 and there will be nothing unexpected to see it must be a bug at spirits side for sure - but I don't know how such an plot could be made - using a storage oscilloscope, I don't know if you can see the real thing that would be comparable to the plot of spirit?

So if you see now with your eyes no unexpected servo behavior (Ch6) in the Archer plus R10 so in my opinion there is no problem with ETHOS or the firmware of the receiver/transmitter -

Best regards
Matthias

Hello Tomas, Hello Senaka,

is there any news about the problem ?
It would be nice to hear if this problem can be solved, because I am also on FrSky with FBUS on the way and I don't want to have a bad surprise in the air -
Thank you for the answers in advance !

Best regards
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Unfortunately no further troubleshooting from my end, The ask from the ethos/frsky thread is to try and reproduce it on an fbus servo or ""another"" fbus platform, which I do not have at my disposal.

For now I'm skipping CH12 in my ethos mixes and all is fine.

Hi Senaka,
thank you for your reply ! I am also not able to test this with an FBUS-Servo - I have other FBLs too (MSH) but can not test with that because they are all mounted in my helicopters and are configurated and running with Spektrum -
Best regards
Matthias

@ ZeXx86 (Tomas):
I don't know if this is allowed, but I would like to post the developers' idea on Github here and ask you, Tomas, to test whether this could be a possible source of error. If you can rule this out, preferably with a plot, then we might have the opportunity to initiate something with FrSky if this is their fault. It is in my personal interest to have an excellent FBL (Spirit) that works reliably. Thanks in advance ! BR Matthias

We were able to reproduce the issue. It was happening also with previous firmware versions and is really related to a higher channels. We are checking what is causing the problem.
