[SOLVED] Rescue fail after a few minutes

Dear Tomasz,
I have an issue with my Heli FBL Unit. After initalization and the first minutes of flight, the rescue function works fine and the heli is properly stabilized.
After some time into the flight, initiating rescue causes the heli to react completely different. Undercutting quite violently in a push roll maneuver.
After landing and re initiating the unit and all is fine for a few minutes until the weirdness starts again.
I have updated the unit to the latest FW and checked if vibrations are within permissable levels (12% currently). Hooked to the FBL is a Geolink unit.
I'll do another test flight tomorrow and read out the logs after the event has started.
Any idea what could cause the delayed erratic behaviour?
Br Martin

Hello,
Please measure vibration level with tail blades on and with pc software. Especially Y axis. This will be much accurate.
Also do you use ESC fan?

Thanks for the reply.
I do not use an ESC fan. The FBL is running on an mixed components Trex 450
Attached the result of the bench vibration measurement.
Tail rotor blades are installed, main rotor blades removed.
Cheers Martin

Hello,
vibration level looks very good.
There could be issue:
a) with the basic setup - it is possible to achieve working condition when model can fly but it is not connected properly and performacne is poor. It is usually enough to verify mounting position of the unit and swashplate type. If this is matching the model, then settings are correct. To make sure it is really OK, you can send a photo of model and unit at the model and also your settings file.
b) How is configured Stabi Correction and Extended Signal processing in the Expert settings?
c) Something is wrong with the unit. If it is some older unit it might require additional calibration or even repair if nothing will help. Is the unit new or bought from someone?
When we will confirm case a) and b) are OK, then I can tell you how to perform additional calibration.

Hi again

For a) and b) see attached pictures.
Regarding c) I had bought the Unit when it first came to market some 7 years ago.
Until recently the unit was performing in this exact setup without issues.

Thank you for all the details.
I recommend to turn off Stabi Correction if you have not tried it yet.

Hi all,
I almost forgot to give you guys feedback.
The suggested disabling of the setting has solved the problem.
All is running smooth now.
Thanks for the help.
Best regards
Martin
