Spirit System

Hi, I’m a newbie with Spirit units. While setting up my Spirit GT and Geolink V2 the Spirit software crashes randomly. Is this “normal” behavior?

Are you using Wifi-Link or USB interface?
Do you have internet connection during the setup?
What Spirit Settings software are you using? (Visible in the App Window title)

It is randomly crashing while setting up the unit. So not something I can reproduce.
I’m using the supplied usb-link.
I do have an internet connection during setup. I’m doing the setup at home.
I’m using 3.6.1

I received the unit 28-12-2023 so I’m a real newbie.

One additional question, does the channel numbering matter for the Spirit?

It is enough to leave base channel mapping (first 6 channels) at defaults at both Spirit and Radio. Then you do not have to change anything and it will just work out of the box without any changes.
So your channel mapping is unusual but if all channels are working well then it does not matter.
Default order is from 1 to 6, where Channel 1 is Throttle. It seems the channel order is not default at both sides now. In any case it should not cause anything wrong.

Thank you for your description. We are testing current version for several months and can't replicate any crashing. So whatever you will find is very helpful.

with the new Spirit Settings-Software 3.6.1 it crashs randomly (It closes itself !) -
If you start the program agian it will work again till it closes self again or not - there is no reason -
With the version before 3.5.1 that never happens -

In this case I have an Spirit II with Spektrum SRXL2-satellite -

Could you temporarily try to disable internet connection when doing the setup?
I think the problem is related to connection stability. Maybe there are some losses that are causing this problem.

When it will close is there any crash report? Or is it looking like you are pressing Escape key?
