Spirit 2 and Radiomaster RP3-H wiring

When wiring the RP3-H for the Spirit 2, the SYS port is required, however, to configure the Spirit 2, the SYS port is needed to connect to the PC.

I have tried using a Y harness to have both working, however the Spirit Configuration software cannot successfully connect to the Spirit 2 unit when the Y harness is used.

How can I connect both the Spirit 2 to the RP3-H and to the laptop configuration software?

Many Thanks.

Hi,

Is the Y harness cable twisted?

Twisted cable didn’t work for me but flat cable did.

Thanks,
David

For Your Reference

I installed a short Y extension to connect the WiFi Link permanently to the Spirit Unit SYS Port and still have a connector to connect the USB Link without having to disconnect anything.

Had to use flat cable because with twisted cable, it didn’t connect.

Thanks Dave. That's pretty strange about the cable, I'll have to try a short, flat one and see if I have any luck

Hello,

you can use old wiring that is using AIL/RUD pins. However integration connection might be not perfect. Telemetry will work fine.
If using SYS port, it is needed to remove the cable and then power up - then configuration will work over the USB or Wifi-Link.
Unfortunately there is no other way with Spirit 2. More recent units are using AIL/RUD pins always, so this limitation is not present.
