Hobbywing Platinum 40A V4 current telemetry issue

Just installed a Hobbywing Platinum 40A V4 connected to a Spirit 3 connected to FrSky. Telemetry works as it should, however it doesn't show any current figures when spooled up, i.e. it stays at 0 amps for some reason, so I checked the Spirit 3 locally when spooled up but no joy; any ideas?
