Spirit Settings 4.03 Crashes on Diagnostic Page and Trojan alert from Windows

Hi,

I'm having an issue with the latest Spirit Settings software version 4.0.3 on Windows 11 25H2. As soon as I open the Diagnostics tab, the program simply closes without displaying an error message. However, I've been experiencing this problem ever since that small 3D model was added to the Diagnostics section. In older versions, I was able to work around this by minimizing the window until the model was no longer visible. Unfortunately, this workaround no longer works with the current version. So it seems to have something to do with the display of this mini model.

Furthermore, Windows Defender is flagging the software as containing a Trojan; see the attached file.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this issue? My graphics card is a Power Color Red Devil RX 6600XT, and I’m using the latest driver.

Hello,

Windows Defender issue unfortunately happened many times before and there is no good way of resolving it. Their algorithms are not working correctly.
To be sure you can use online virus scanners and check it by over 80 other antivirus programs. You should see that only Defender will likely mark it incorrectly.

For the crash issue you can try to set Default app theme if you reconfigured to other. Then minimization trick should work at least. The main problem is really some missing feature in your graphics driver.
We will try to fix this and check for this feature automatically. On tuesday it should be ready.

If i reset to the default theme, the Minimize trick works again. It would be great if that worked with dark themes too. But for now, this is a very good solution.

Hello,

please redownload 4.0.3 windows software. The workaround for the problem should work now. Possibly it will even display the mode.
Now it will fallback to older features that are widely supported.

I downloaded the new version, but unfortunately it still doesn't work. With the new themes, the program keeps crashing on Diagnosis Tab no matter how large the window is. In standard mode, it crashes as soon as the window reaches a certain size. The only way for me to use the software on my Windows computer is still to keep the window small.
