Hello Tomas,

i just did another test-flight with some modifications as we discussed... and now i was able to turn all my tuning channels to the rightmost position i had configured from previous tests, which means cyclic feed forward 4 (absolutely ok with the rigid, superfast head & vtx 717), elevator filter 4 (no more bounce-back, elev. stops sharp as razorblade), cyclic gain 53. higher values for all to be tested, but already again great to fly with.

again the great, aggressive and super-locked-in Diabolo-feeling @1850 rpms and smooth, precise, soft 3D @1350-1450 :D

... now it's open if it was antenna positioning or the unit or whatsoever... as the Spirit RS will be installed again in previously perfect flying Logo 550SE with CF frame it will show up quickly in the next days.

Very well, Spirit 2 and Spirit RS should fly identically, so there are only few things that could cause this difference.

I am sure we will find it soon :)

yes... and the RS unit is showing it's own life or at least strange behaviour :o

i've done a test-flight with the unit mounted in the Logo 550SE and everything seemed good so far... just a really slight elevator bounce-back that i maybe even have not noticed during tests after conversion from Neo. so i landed, stopped motor, opened integration on TX and changed elevator filter from 2 to 3, saved, closed integration and restarted motor. bounce-back was perfectly gone and no other odd effects at all.

all seemed perfect - i just wanted to check cyclic roll rates before landing. full elevator flip backwards was consistent and ok. then i tried a roll right (aileron full right)... before the end of the first half roll the heli immediately rolled back (aileron left) by itself and leveled perfectly (elevator axis too) as if stabilization was activated (but it is not configured)... i was still on full aileron right and already negative pitch when this started. i quickly let the stick center and checked if i have control back and yes - full control. i just landed quickly and spooled down.

at home, on the bench: no Spirit log available, nothing special in telemetry log. unfortunately i am logging DS-12 P2+P4 only - but they show perfectly what i was flying (or at least wanted to fly).

nb: rescue normal via channel #8 is configured... but no stabilisation mode or whatsoever. even no tuning channels anymore. only channels 1-8 in Tx and Spirit.

... just to confirm & close: made some real nice flights with my Diabolo today and tuning is finshed... cyclic gain is 60 now (then i stopped increasing as it is perfect already), elevator filter 4 (elev. stops are sharp as knife), cyclic feed forward 4 was perfect with rigid head, but in the mean time i've mounted the dampened winter-head that is a tad softer... so maybe i'll increase to 6 or so. tail gain for 1450/1675/1850: 100/94/88.

=> perfect, lucky me !!!
cheers
