Currently with Wave receivers, there is no telemetry. Spirit units are restricted to just one ESC telemetry connection and support a limited number of "variables".
Desirable would be i.e. the following sensor types:
- Motor temperature
- Single battery cell monitoring
- Air-Speed (Pitot tube)
- Tank fuel gauge
- RPM sensor
- Backup-Guard active signalling/alarm
- Battery selector (with battery pack identification)
IMHO there will not be a satisfying buiness case for spirit proprietary sensors and a proprietary protocol. So my whish is, that Spirit will provide telemetry connectivity for one of the wide spreaded telemetry protocols.
Radiomaster just released a couple of sensors, which also can be daisy chained. Which means, that just one serial port is occupied in the receiver for all desired sensors. (HoTT also is very common with a large number of available sensors and sensors also can be connected in parallel). My guess is, that these sensors will be priceworthy and available in short time. Also DIY sensors will be connectable via this interface (CRSF) and each sensor provided by the community will also be usable for Spirit.

Wave receiver telemetry - usable with 3rd party sensors ans a common telemetry protocol
Hello,
we will be releasing the most of these sensors (and more) within following weeks too.
Each sensor you can buy is actually not open. So for getting the best performance it is always better if same manufacturer is offering own sensors with own protocol.
Same will apply also for Spirit.

Yes, it will be definitively available publicly. We have no need to make it private.
